As anyone living in the United Kingdom may have noticed, it has suddenly turned to winter. To cheer myself up I decided to treat myself to a little bit of retail therapy in one of my favorite places to shop in all of London, the wonderful Brick Lane. The atmosphere is Brick Lane is creative, quirky and a little bit grungy with its mix of second hand boutiques, young designer start up shops and market stalls selling wares such as ‘bicycles of questionable origin’ and ‘sex on the beach’ (cocktails of course - served out of a hollowed out pineapple).
This oufit is called 'Keeping it Chic'. It is the perfect outfit for an interview, tuck the shirt into the skirt for a super cute look. The gun metal necklace would make a great statement piece, standing out against the grey military shirt. Obviously the Miquella jewellery is a must and looks fabulous, big rings are always on trend and this ring will definitely catch some eyes.
Every Wenesday I will be putting together a stylish oufit paired with jewellery from Miquella's AW12 collection. Each week I will put together a different look mused from my creative fashion mind (HA!) and with it I will pair pieces of Miquella's jewellery which I think compliments the outfit.
This is the first outfit which I've called 'Keeping It Casual'. My favourite piece from this oufit is the rock chick T-shirt and of course the fabulous jewellery.
How cool is this?!... Stunning Lure in Japan, one of our most loyal stockists, recently collaborated with trainer super-brand Converse and came up with these silver beauties!
Named the Stunning Lure X Converse, they sold out instantly. Not surprising when practically the entire Japanese fashion industry have been raving about them!
Still, we can always admire them in photographic form and congratulate the wonderful people at Stunning Lure for such a successful collaboration!
These girls looked so cute and they complimented each others outfits really well. I love the print on Madeleine's skirt and Yegs floral trousers are adorable and on trend for this season. My personal fave is Lisanne's grey jersey dress not only do I love the colour grey this dress is simple but super stylish and can be dressed up or down.
With fashion week around the corner FNO was an amazing way to start what I am sure is going to be a spectacular week. I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. My best friend Tonya tagged along and we were like children in a toy store. Fashion, treats and cocktails...... what more can a girl ask for.
There was so much entertainment going on from the free manicures at the Vodaphone station to the Jive lessons at the Hermes stage and Diesel giving out free ice creams and popcorn.
As I was browsing for a magazine in Selfridges yesterday I came across HERSELF Magazine. The whole magazine is made up of cool illustrations whether it’s an advert, photo shoot or interview. I’ve never come across anything like this before and think it has been executed fabulously by the Editor Lula. In the 2nd issue of the magazine you will find stunning illustrated portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Kristen Stewart paired with Snow White and Kate Moss. Even Cinderella makes a surprise visit.
I am absolutely in love with Diane Von Furstenberg’s SS13 resort collection. It showcases her effortless style perfectly and with her creative director Yvan Mispelaere they have created a vibrant assortment of pieces featuring bold shapes and electrifying colours. Taking their inspiration from palm trees in California to Elvis’s quiff and Graceland, these clothes are anything but boring.
